Any project coordinator works with four elements: expenditure, timing, time and producing a satisfactory result. A more ambitious goal is to optimize work organization and resource allocation. The majority of projects employ such elements as people, funds, and tools to achieve results and meet objectives. To work with projects effectively you need to handle a number of things. Some of them can be found in the next paragraph:
- Goal setting and reviewing achievement.
- Handling risk. Take any project and you will see that it involves a lot of uncertainties that have to be dealt with.
- Assigning and supervising resources.
- Defining the outcomes of the project.
- Controlling the project from the point of view of who is doing what and at what time.
- Making sure that the outcomes of the tasks are up to standard.
- Managing changes. Change is constant. Most projects develop in time, so the element of change has to be accounted for.
- Talking to everybody involved with the project.
To deal with these issues you can employ pencil and a notepad or probably MS EXCEL. But you get some interesting benefits if you decide to use project tracking software:

Automation is a popular word nowadays. Many companies attempt to promote their solutions to the market. Usually they are quite attractive and have got lots of great characteristics, but it is only the first view. During the research of various personnel management software programs, I found that its utilizing has more drawbacks than benefits. There are several reasons why I do not use them.
Reason 1: You must pay for it. Almost all obtainable employee management software is payware. In addition to setting up fee, you must pay for maintenance, updates and support. Some people think that the advantages outweigh the costs. If you distinctly see how the advantages do it, pay. If you don't, hold the funds. Money is the lesser evil.

It could be difficult to manage a number of employees who have PCs at their desks. You look at your people. It might look like a very busy room. And at the same time they may be simply chatting online or reading news. Is spying really a viable option? Or possibly there could be more options around that deal with internet monitoring?
In the past the choice for supervisors who wanted some control was limited. Only spyware was available for computer monitoring . Spyware is the name for computer programs that make screenshots, copy text entered from the keyboard, control traffic. With spyware you have more control than you would want. What happens is that workers begin having bad thoughts about you. You can lose respect of your people, because you are effectively intruding into their privacy.
