Unfair competition on the telephone facilities market

Do you know that there are exactly 60 seconds in a minute? But newly one of the IDT companies declared that lots of corporations, that provide calling cards, propose just 36 seconds in exchange of 60. In concordance with the assertion done by some IDT corporation, many calling card corporations are taking part in unfair competition. IDT/UTA (Union Telecard Alliance) company made a resolve to sue the different corporations-providers of prepaid phone cards for the unfair competition circumstances on a phone services market.

According to IDT press research, some of their rivals only provide 60 percent of the declared minutes to the consumer. In November 2007 Total Call International, Inc. and IDT/UTA have reached a complete settlement of the suit brought by IDT Telecom, Inc. and Union Telecard Alliance, LLC versus Total Call. That brings to four the number of defendant groups that have settled the enforcement proceedings commenced by IDT/UTA before, this year. Today there is a list of another accused includes about six corporations and some of them are: Epana Networks Inc., Dollar Phone Corp., etc.. That pending action is still on approval in the federal court in Newark, New Jersey. Lately I have found a post on one of prepaid telecom related websites where a softswitch producer demoed his system. One of the features he was proud of was the scope to set the duration of the minute to as long as you want. Another feature was to randomly deduct a minute from the account.
