Does Privacy exist at Work?
December 15th, 2007It could be difficult to manage a number of employees who have PCs at their desks. You look at your people. It might look like a very busy room. And at the same time they may be simply chatting online or reading news. Is spying really a viable option? Or possibly there could be more options around that deal with internet monitoring?
In the past the choice for supervisors who wanted some control was limited. Only spyware was available for computer monitoring . Spyware is the name for computer programs that make screenshots, copy text entered from the keyboard, control traffic. With spyware you have more control than you would want. What happens is that workers begin having bad thoughts about you. You can lose respect of your people, because you are effectively intruding into their privacy.
